Texas Farm Bureau seeks applications for financial wildfire assistance

Texas Farm Bureau seeks applications for financial wildfire assistance

May 31 is the deadline to apply for financial assistance from a fund set up by the Texas Farm Bureau to aid those who suffered damage from the Panhandle wildfires in March.

Farmers and ranchers who have unreimbursed damage from the fires are encouraged to apply. It is not necessary to be a Farm Bureau member to submit an application.

Applications and more information can be found online at www.texasfarmbureau.org.

“Funds from fellow Farm Bureau members, other state Farm Bureaus and many friends have been collected so that we may help those who must now rebuild,” Texas Farm Bureau President Russell Boening said. “We are hopeful that the contributions will make that process a bit easier.”

A task force of Texas Farm Bureau farmers and ranchers will be convened after the deadline to distribute the funds.
