County Farm Bureaus recognized for membership achievements

 

(ROUND ROCK, Texas)—County Farm Bureaus across Texas were recognized for membership achievements during Texas Farm Bureau’s (TFB) 91st Annual Meeting in Round Rock.

“Texas Farm Bureau is the state’s largest general farm and ranch organization, and we continuously work together to represent agriculture throughout the Lone Star State,” TFB President Russell Boening said. “Without our members, we wouldn’t—and couldn’t—be the Voice of Texas Agriculture.”

TFB has a total of 553,948 member-families. Out of 205 organized county Farm Bureaus across Texas, 88 counties gained members during the year, and a statewide retention rate of 85.33% was achieved.

The top 10 county Farm Bureaus with the most new members are:

  • Collin County, with a gain of 2,196 members
  • Harris County, 1,742 members
  • Brazoria-Galveston County, 1,644 members
  • Fort Bend County, 1,561 members
  • Bexar County, 1,505 members
  • McLennan County, 1,441 members
  • Bell County, 1,219 members
  • Dallas County, 1,214 members
  • Kaufman County, 1,138 members
  • Tarrant County, 1,137 members

County Farm Bureaus reporting the largest total membership growth include:

  • Bexar County, 250 members
  • Nacogdoches County, 164 members
  • Collin County, 154 members
  • Guadalupe County, 131 members
  • Lampasas County, 111 members
  • Fannin County, 107 members
  • Hunt County, 107 members
  • Walker County, 103 members
  • Maverick County, 101 members
  • El Paso County, 99 members

The highest membership renewal percentages were achieved by the following:

  • Dickens County, 94.20%
  • Mason County, 94.03%
  • Lavaca County, 91.91%
  • Gillespie County, 91.34%
  • Lampasas County, 91.24%
  • Kimble County, 90.98%
  • Bosque County, 90.98%
  • Fisher County, 90.95%
  • Cottle-King County, 90.81%
  • Falls County, 90.69%

County Farm Bureaus with the largest membership include the following:

  • Collin County, 13,631
  • McLennan County, 12,008
  • Brazoria-Galveston County, 11,761
  • Fort Bend County, 10,027
  • Ellis County, 9,749
  • Bell County, 8,703
