Texas Farm Bureau 91st Annual Meeting set for Dec. 6-8
(WACO, Texas)—Policy discussions, membership recognition and a weekend of fellowship are slated for the 91st Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) Annual Meeting, which will be held Dec. 6-8 at the Kalahari Resort in Round Rock.
“For 91 years, our members have stood together, united by a shared commitment to the values and traditions that define agriculture and rural life,” TFB President Russell Boening said.
Voting delegates from the 205 county Farm Bureaus across the state will work together to craft policy positions and prepare for the challenges agriculture faces.
“The business session is an important part of our annual meeting. It’s where our members address the needs of farmers, ranchers and rural communities through our grassroots policy development process,” Boening said. “Our policy discussions will look at ways to strengthen agriculture in our state and nation.”
About 1,000 farmers and ranchers are expected in Round Rock during the meeting to discuss the latest agricultural issues, recognize successes from the year and evaluate the organization’s policies.
