Texas Farm Bureau applauds administration for Harvest Fuel Relief Program

Texas Farm Bureau applauds administration for Harvest Fuel Relief Program

The following statement may be attributed to Texas Farm Bureau President Boening following President Trump’s announcement Monday of a Harvest Fuel Relief Program for U.S. farmers and ranchers.

“Texas Farm Bureau applauds President Donald J. Trump and Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins for delivering the Harvest Fuel Relief Program to Texas farm and ranch families. This is welcome news as producers face soaring input costs and mounting economic pressures.

“Texas Farm Bureau has worked to make farmers’ and ranchers’ voices heard, holding numerous roundtables with administration officials in Washington, D.C., and Texas and 50 congressional recess meetings and farm tours across almost every Texas congressional district since the beginning of August.

“The $8 billion in harvest fuel relief is welcome and much-needed support. This administration heard directly from farm country and delivered.

“But the agricultural economy remains under tremendous strain, and Congress must follow through on the additional economic assistance it has promised.

“Congress must also finish the farm bill. The U.S. House of Representatives has done its part. Now, the U.S. Senate must advance Chairman John Boozman’s ‘Agricultural Act of 2026’ and get this critical legislation across the finish line.

“The administration listened and delivered. Now, it’s Congress’ turn to act. America’s farmers and ranchers cannot afford to wait.”
