Texas Farm Bureau applauds Senate passage of One Big Beautiful Bill Act

Texas Farm Bureau applauds Senate passage of One Big Beautiful Bill Act

The following statement may be attributed to Texas Farm Bureau President Russell Boening following today’s passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) Act by the U.S. Senate.

“Texas Farm Bureau applauds the U.S. Senate for passing the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) Act that includes critical provisions to strengthen the farm safety net and prevent a looming tax cliff that threatens farm and ranch families at the end of this year.

“Farm and ranch families are navigating one of the most severe downturns in the farm economy in decades. The OBBB Act helps address these challenges by raising reference prices, increasing investments in key farm programs and making vital tax provisions permanent. The OBBB Act delivers much-needed certainty for farmers and ranchers and consumers.

“We thank Chairman John Boozman and his staff, along with the Senate committees of jurisdiction, for their tireless work to ensure meaningful support for American agriculture was included in the legislation. Their leadership has been instrumental in advancing these critical priorities. We also thank Sens. John Cornyn and Ted Cruz for their work on this legislation and support for passage.

“Texas Farm Bureau urges swift action in the U.S. House of Representatives to quickly send this bill to President Donald Trump’s desk for his signature. Our farm and ranch families need and deserve this legislation enacted into law.”
