Texas Farm Bureau honors Aulabaugh for excellence in journalism

(SAN ANTONIO, Texas)—Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) honored Mark Aulabaugh, the station owner and sales manager for KSEY FM Radio, with its 2016 Excellence in Journalism award for outstanding coverage of Texas agricultural issues.

Clayton Miller, KSEY program manager, accepted the award on behalf of Aulabaugh during TFB’s 83rd Annual Meeting Dec. 4 in San Antonio.

KSEY is home to weekday broadcasts of agricultural programs and local and national news for Seymour and surrounding areas. The Baylor County Farm Bureau board of directors nominated Aulabaugh for the award in the category market of under 50,000 in population.

“Farmers and ranchers can tune in to KSEY to hear interviews on important issues. It’s a full-service, community-oriented, Western swing station that devotes a large part of its broadcasts to agriculture,” the nomination stated.

The nominating county also noted Aulabaugh’s strong support of 4-H, FFA and junior livestock show projects.

“Mark has been an important source of information, and will continue to be, for farmers and ranchers in the area,” the nomination added.
