Texas Farm Bureau members graduate from AgLead XVI program
(ARLINGTON, Texas)—Seven Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) members completed an intensive leadership development program and were recognized during the organization’s 92nd Annual Meeting today in Arlington.
The two-year leadership development program, AgLead XVI, takes participants across Texas, the country and the world to discover agriculture and leadership from a new perspective.
“AgLead builds the foundation for effective agricultural leadership,” TFB President Russell Boening said. “These seven members dedicated two years to learning, growing and strengthening their leadership skills to better serve their farms, communities and the future of Texas agriculture.”
The leadership development program included seminars with experts, farm and agribusiness tours, meetings with business and government leaders and opportunities for personal and professional growth. Participants developed a deeper understanding of public policy, regulatory activities and political advocacy.
“AgLead equips farmers and ranchers to be informed, engaged leaders who can navigate and influence the issues shaping agriculture,” Boening said. “They return home with broader perspectives, new connections and a stronger voice for Texas agriculture.”
Program sessions included stops in Waco, Southeast Texas, the Rio Grande Valley, California, and Washington, D.C. The program culminated with a capstone trip to Peru, where participants studied international agriculture and trade.
The AgLead XVI cohort members included:
- Coy Blaschke – Goliad County
- Chris Carter – Karnes County
- Malorie Crowell – Hood-Somervell County
- Hilary Gleitz – Waller County
- Emilee Haubner – Lampasas County
- Anna Kantor – Limestone County
