Texas Farm Bureau welcomes U.S.-Japan trade agreement

(WACO, Texas)—Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) President Russell Boening made the following statement after the United States and Japan unveiled a trade agreement that provides more robust market opportunities for Texas farmers and ranchers.

“Texas Farm Bureau commends the administration for reaching a trade agreement with Japan that will expand market access for hardworking farm and ranch families. This agreement reduces tariffs while, in turn, easing access to Japan’s agricultural markets. Texas Farm Bureau sincerely thanks the administration for its tireless work on this agreement that will help put us on a level playing field with other countries that trade with Japan.”
