TFB AGFUND endorses J Allen Carnes for Texas Ag Commissioner
(SAN ANTONIO, Texas) —A nod toward the election of J Allen Carnes in the March primary for Texas Agriculture Commissioner led a list of endorsements in high profile races by the Texas Farm Bureau Friends of Agriculture (AGFUND), Inc. board of directors.
“The election of J Allen Carnes for Agriculture Commissioner assures farmers and ranchers a strong voice in Texas’ future,” said TFB and AGFUND President Kenneth Dierschke. “The Texas Department of Agriculture requires strong leadership and Carnes has the experience and desire to provide it.”
Carnes was one of several endorsements today by the TFB AGFUND board which is meeting prior to the 80th Annual Meeting in San Antonio.
Other endorsements including the following:
o John Cornyn, U.S. Senate;
o Greg Abbott, Governor;
o David Dewhurst, Lieutenant Governor;
o Dan Branch, Attorney General;
o Glenn Hegar, Comptroller;
o George P. Bush, Texas Land Commissioner;
o and Malachi Boyuls, Texas Railroad Commissioner.
“These candidates share strong conservative values and a vision for a better Texas,” Dierschke said. “That vision has been demonstrated many times by this strong group of candidates.”
